Albert Roux OBE, KFO is offering Scottish foodies a unique opportunity to help shape the menu of his newest Chez Roux restaurant, due to open at Andy Murray's Perthshire hotel, Cromlix, in April next year.

The exclusive lunch and dinner menu tasting events will take place at Greywalls Hotel, Muirfield from Saturday 18th to Friday 24th January 2014. Just eight covers are available for each meal.

Mr Roux said: "I'm bringing together the Cromlix team to perfect the menu we've designed for Chez Roux at Cromlix. I'm actively looking for feedback from the guests and will join them for discussion throughout the meal."

On opening the Chez Roux restaurant will be run by award-winning Executive Head Chef Darin Campbell who is joining from the renowned One Devonshire Gardens restaurant at Hotel Du Vin in Glasgow, where he held the same title. Darin will also meet the tasters at Greywalls.

From Doune, Perthshire, Darin has worked at a number of leading restaurants during a 24-year career including Ballachulish House Hotel, Argyll, which won a Michelin star while he was Head Chef and Petrus in London, owned by Gordon Ramsay. He also worked as Head Chef at Restaurant Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles, which holds two Michelin stars and four AA Rosettes.

Mr Roux said: "Darin is a local boy, with impeccable credentials. He was with my dear friend Andrew Fairlie and comes to us very highly recommended. The menu is a result of our collaboration and reflects us both. I will work closely with Darin, but I will not write the menu."


Eight guests are able to join Mr Roux for lunch on the 18th, 23rd and 24th of January with a five course menu priced at £45 per person, including wine.

We are also hosting dinner on the 18th, 19th, 20th,21st and 23rd of January. Guests wishing to join Mr Roux for dinner must stay at Greywalls and they are offering dinner, bed and breakfast packages for £275 per room, including the five course tasting menu and wine.
