The Montagu Arms Hotel is situated in the picturesque village of Beaulieu in the enchanting New Forest. The Hotel has, in its 200 year history, played host to discerning clientele who appreciate its world class service and hospitality.
Restaurant Manager Pierre Rizet Mosser (pictured above), who developed his expertise under the renowned duo of Michel and Alain Roux, brings his exemplary customer service, and enthusiastic personality to the dining room. Together with Head Chef and Roux Scholar, Matthew Tomkinson, The Terrace Restaurant is undoubtedly the focus of every guests visit to The Montagu Arms Hotel. Matt's love of food comes from fondly remembered dinner parties and garden parties at his parents' home. Food for him is about sociability.
"The most important word for me in this industry is hospitality - a bit of warmth goes a long way; that's what I am about and it's that before anything else. The rest of it comes after. The service is just as important as the food".
The quality of the food stems from the freshness of the ingredients. Matt works hard to develop relationships with local producers; using only the finest locally sourced organic produce and seasonal vegetables and herbs from his own kitchen garden. "The New Forest is my larder and what a larder it is".
