Damian Allsop, Chocolate Supremo, launches a Chocolate Extravaganza Week

Damian Allsop is hosting a tasting event at Danesfield House with a talk on understanding the flavour of chocolate and alcohol matching session.

You will get the opportunity to see one of Damian's amazing chocolate sculptures.

Damian has been working with chocolate as head Pastry chef in Michelin-starred restaurants for nearly 20 years. Working with some of the best chefs in England, France and Catalonia, in February 2002 he realised that the ingredients we add to our chocolate alter it's flavour, a simple revelation that led him to find a way to mix water (a non-flavoured liquid) with chocolate. He had to re-think what he had been taught, and re-write all of his recipes, from ice-creams and mousses to crisps, foams, gels and now ganaches.

This event will launch the start of Chocolate Week at Danesfield and a special Oak Room Chocolate themed menu will be available on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday in addition to the a la carte and the tasting menu.
